STI-P3® Underground Storage Tanks
Engineered and fabricated in Suwanee, GA. STI-P3® is the most proven underground storage tank system in petroleum retail history. Features factory pre-engineered sacrificial anodes, a high-dielectric coating, and dielectric isolation bushings for complete electrochemical defense without external power sources.
The STI-P3® Triple Protection System
1. Sacrificial Anodes
Specially formulated zinc or magnesium anodes are welded directly to the tank heads at our factory. They provide self-powered cathodic protection, sacrificing themselves to preserve the steel shell.
2. Dielectric Coating
A tough, 100-mil high-solids polyurethane or coal tar epoxy coating forms an impenetrable barrier between the steel and corrosive soils, resisting moisture, chemicals, and mechanical abrasion.
3. Dielectric Isolation
Nylon isolation bushings and dielectric flange gaskets insulate all tank connections from piping, ensuring stray electrical currents from pumps or utilities cannot enter or discharge from the tank.
